Panzanella

- 1/3 c red wine vinegar -- I've used pear and other flavors too shopping list
- 1/2 c extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic - chopped or pressed -- I've used up to 6 to add lots of flavor shopping list
- 1/2 lb. stale bread - cut in 2" cubes -- baguette/french -- I usually do this the night before. shopping list
- 2 lb. roma tomato -- coarsely chopped shopping list
- 1 red onion - coarsely chopped shopping list
- 1 c basil leaves - coarsely chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Mix vinegar and oil with garlic and season to taste with kosher salt
- Mix dry ingredients
- Toss with vinaigrette and let stand 1 hour at room temperature
