Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cut up chicken breasts in 1 inch cubes and set aside.
  • Mix together 1 1/4 cup of white flour with the baking powder, salt, pepper (reserve 1/4 cup for coating chicken pieces before dipping into this mixture). Add the 2 eggs and the milk. Mix all together well.
  • Take the chicken pieces and dip them in the 1/4 cup of flour, then dip into this batter to coat the chicken. Fry the chicken pieces in hot cooking oil until browned on all sides and serve with my chicken balls red sauce.

Add corn starch to keep it from sticking together and dont add the extra coating of flour then add some garlic salt for a better taste and do not cook the chicken before battering, batter it raw and throw it in the deep fryer until it has a nice brown color to it but first heat the oil to high then before throwing in the balls move the heat to medium to cook well

I tried this recipe and mine were perfect.... The only changes I made was to poach the chicken breasts beforehand to shorten deepfrying time and I added 1/4 or so of cornstarch to the batter.. for that extra little crispiness... I made these with home made egg rolls and ham fried rice for a nice at home Chinese dinner... Thanks for a great recipe!

Love this recipe. I add a bit more milk tho, makes it easier to coat the chicken. It makes a lot, so you can use 6 chicken breasts, or you can do some chicken balls, and use the rest for onion rings - its a great batter for both. My family loves them. Even my VERY picky 2 year old.
