Beer Bread Recipe
BEER BREAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Griffith Estate in Hurst, Texas in 1981.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces beer
  • 1 stick butter

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together then add beer and mix well.
  3. Spoon into two greased loaf pans then melt butter and drizzle over top.
  4. Bake 45 minutes and serve warm.
