How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350
  • Beat butter until creamy;
  • Add sugars gradually and beat til fluffy;
  • Add vanilla and eggs; mix well
  • Sift together dry ingredients;
  • Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk;
  • Stir in rolled oats.
  • Pour into a floured well-greased 9 inch square pan.
  • Bake in preheated oven 30 to 35 minutes.
  • FROSTING:
  • Combine all ingredients;
  • Spread evenly over cake;
  • Broil until frosting becomes bubbly;
  • Serve warm.
