Ground Chicken Basil Recipe
This dish goes well with brown , jasmine or basmati rice as a main course. Serve along with spring rolls or simple soup as an appetizer.

Ingredients
  • 4Tblspn sesame oil
  • 4 large cloves of garlic minced
  • 2 ground chicken breast
  • 2 jalapeno chillies sliced into rings and seeded
  • 2 tspn black soy sauce
  • 1 Tblspn fish sauce
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • A couple pinches of sugar
  • 1/4 cup fesh basil leaves chopped roughly
  • 1/2 tspn fresh ginger grated

Directions
  1. Heat the sesame oil in a pan. Add minced garlic and cook till it turns golden brown.
  2. Add the ground chicken to the pan and continue cooking until no longer pink.
  3. Add soy sauce, fish sauce and chicken broth. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add sliced chillies and chopped red bell peppers. Simmer for about 8-10 mins until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Add a couple pinches of sugar. Further cook for 2 mins.
  6. Add the chopped basil and let simmer on low until the basil has wilted.
  7. Add the fresh grated ginger and mix well.
