Backyard Chicken Clambake

- 4 broiler chicken fryer quarters ( 4 pieces total ) shopping list
- 4 small potatoes shopping list
- 4 small onions shopping list
- 1 lb smoked sausage links shopping list
- 8 clams shopping list
- 4 ears corn shopping list
- 4 stalks celery shopping list
How to make it
- To improvise your at home clam bake, use a covered canning pot pot.
- Fill bottom part half full with water, add shucked corn.
- Corn will be in water, other ingredients will not be in water
- Place top part of pot in place and add chicken first, then potatoes
- ( washed but not peeled ), then peeled ( not cut ) onions, celery stalks and smoked sausage.
- Cover with heavy duty aluminum foil into which holes are punched.
- Add clams and cover with lid.
- Place over high heat on stove or on backyard grill.
- Cook about one hour or until clams open.
