Ingredients
  • 4 broiler chicken fryer quarters ( 4 pieces total )
  • 4 small potatoes
  • 4 small onions
  • 1 lb smoked sausage links
  • 8 clams
  • 4 ears corn
  • 4 stalks celery

Directions
  1. To improvise your at home clam bake, use a covered canning pot pot.
  2. Fill bottom part half full with water, add shucked corn.
  3. Corn will be in water, other ingredients will not be in water
  4. Place top part of pot in place and add chicken first, then potatoes
  5. ( washed but not peeled ), then peeled ( not cut ) onions, celery stalks and smoked sausage.
  6. Cover with heavy duty aluminum foil into which holes are punched.
  7. Add clams and cover with lid.
  8. Place over high heat on stove or on backyard grill.
  9. Cook about one hour or until clams open.
