Homemade Pizza Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

2 large cans Dei crushed tomatoes

2 large cans Dei tomatoe sauce

1 large can tomato paste

1 T italian seasoning

4 Fresh basi l leaves

1 t thyme

pinch of salt

2 T sugar

2 cloves garlic crushed or roasted

Directions

if crushed or whole garlic cloves, slightly brown in olive oil and take out once brown or it will cause the Olive oil to be bitter. Use good olive oill not extra virgin. Add crushed tomatoes, tomatoe sauce and tomatoe paste. Heat over med flame. Add seasonings of Sugar, thyme, basilllll and italian seasoning. Stir frequentlly not to scorch sauce. Cook/Saute sauce for about 45 min. Remove from heat. Spread generous amt on pizza's use the rest for mozzerella sticks, pizza bread... the list is endless. Have fun

I love making my own pizzas.. this is almost like the one we use.. It is great... I add ground up pepperoni sometimes, don't ask why I just love the stuff.
