Um...Cherokee Taco? This is a Mexican taco recipe...Cherokee tacos are made with fry bread, ground beef, and beans. Other versions of Indian tacos are made with fry bread and chili. The toppings used on Mexican tacos are used on Indian tacos, thus making them a taco...It isn't the tortilla that makes an Indian/Cherokee taco a taco. :-)

I am a Cherokee Indian....I enjoy tacos, but I'm sure it has nothing to do with my heritage. lol You don't hear a lot about tacos in Native American cooking. ;o)

Okay, I'm trying this one just because of the interesting name! (I love Mexican food and wasn't aware that the Cherokee enjoyed tacos!)

LOL. I have no clue and wondered the same thing. These came from an estate sale that I purchased several years ago and I typed it right off the card as it was written. They realy are tasty. Hope you will give them a try.
