My Famous Chuckwagon Beans Recipe Missdrea / All my dishes

This dish is so good and easy. I like to make it ahead of time and then transport it in my crockpot for family gatherings.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 3 lbs hamburger
  • 3 medium chopped onions
  • 1 c finely chopped celery
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2/3 c beef broth
  • 1 1/2 c ketchup
  • 3 Tb dry mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2(1 lb 13oz)cans baked beans(molasses style are good)

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Fry bacon in a dutch oven until crisp, remove, and drain on paper towels
  3. Brown the hamburger, onion, celery, and garlic in the bacon drippings
  4. Drain off grease and return to pot
  5. Stir in broth and remaining ingredients, except bacon
  6. Cover and cook 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until bubbly
  7. Crumble bacon over the beans.
