Dried Cherry and Almond Scones

- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1 egg white shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2/3 cup SPLENDA No Calorie Sweetener, Granular shopping list
- 1 cup dried cherries, roughly chopped shopping list
- 1/3 cup canola oil shopping list
- 1/3 cup dry milk, nonfat shopping list
- 1/2 tsp almond extract shopping list
- 2 tbsp sugar (this is optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. With baking spray, spray a cookie sheet (or jellyroll pan) then place aside. Mix the egg white and egg in a large sized mixing bowl. Combine the buttermilk, SPLENDA Granular, canola oil, nonfat dry milk and almond extract, mix thoroughly. Then, add baking powder, baking soda and flour to the mixture and mix until just blended. Now, add the dried cherries, blend well. Spoon 12 evenly sized mounds of batter onto the baking sheet or pan. Lightly drizzle with sugar (optional) and bake for 10-15 minutes.
