Creamy And Quick Corn Chowder

- 1 stick butter shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper shopping list
- 2 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 2 cans cream style corn shopping list
- 1 can whole kernel corn, drained shopping list
- 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon creole spice shopping list
- 8 oz. cream cheese shopping list
- 2 cups half and half shopping list
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions shopping list
How to make it
- In large pot,saute onions and bell pepper in butter until tender.
- Add broth and bring to a boil.
- Lower heat to low simmer and add cream corn, corn,cream cheese, brown sugar and creole spice
- Cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Stir in half and half, and green onions.
- Cover and continue to cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with cracked black pepper and salt.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese if desired
