red beans and rice Recipe

How to make it

  • heat oil in large dutch oven
  • add sausage cut in 1 inch peices, onion,garlic, saute untill onion is brown about 15 minutes.
  • mix in kidney beans and every thing except the rice
  • reduce heat to a medium low and let simmer , cover
  • simmer untill flavors are blended and mixture is thickened
  • about 45 minutes
  • serve over bowls of rice
