Ingredients
  • 6-8 chicken legs
  • 5 large onions
  • sumac
  • cumin
  • allspice
  • salt
  • pepper
  • olive oil
  • Arabic flat bread (thin)

Directions
  1. Season chicken legs with sumac, cumin, allspice, salt and pepper to taste
  2. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 1/2 hours
  3. Cut onions into small pieces
  4. Season with salt and sumac (enough sumac to make the onions reddish in color)
  5. Cook in oil (make sure to use a lot of oil, the onions should be "swimming") until soft
  6. Place flat bread on pan
  7. Cover bread with broth from the chicken and oil from the onions
  8. Spoon onions over bread
  9. Cook in the oven until bread is crispy (10 minutes or so)
  10. Place chicken on onions
