Polynesian Meatballs

- MEATBALLS: shopping list
- 1 egg; beaten shopping list
- 1/4c. milk shopping list
- 1/2c. dry bread crumbs shopping list
- 2T. finely chopped onion shopping list
- 3/4. salt shopping list
- 1/2t. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1lb. ground beef shopping list
- SAUCE: shopping list
- 1/2c. packed brown sugar shopping list
- 2T. cornstarch shopping list
- 1 (20oz.) can pineapple chunks with juice shopping list
- 1/3c. vinegar shopping list
- 1T. soy sauce shopping list
- 1 green pepper; cut into bite size pieces shopping list
- Sliced green onions (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- MEATBALLS:
- Mix together 1st 6 ingredients; add to ground beef and mix well. Shape into balls.
- Brown meatballs on all sides.
- Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside.
- Drain fat from pan.
- SAUCE:
- Combine brown sugar & cornstarch in skillet.
- Stir in pineapple with juice; vinegar and soy sauce.
- Bring to a boil stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for about 10 min. or until sauce thickens. Stir occasionally.
- Add green pepper. Cover and simmer until tender. Aprrox. 5 min.
- Return meatballs to skillet and heat through.
- Serve over rice and garnish with sliced green onions, cut on an angle; if desired.

I made it. Excellent!! Thank you for sharing. My wife doesn't like pineapple, but she LOVED these meatballs. I'll be making them again for sure.
