Tahitian Sweet Bread

- Tahitian Sweet bread shopping list
- Makes 1 loaf shopping list
- 175g/6oz Plain flour shopping list
- 100g/4oz whole wheat flour shopping list
- 175g/6oz sugar shopping list
- 1 teasp bicarbonate of soda shopping list
- 1 teasp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teasp salt shopping list
- 240ml/8fl.oz. plain yogurt shopping list
- 2 large egg whites shopping list
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 teasp vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 teasp crystallized ginger shopping list
- The juice and Zest of 2 oranges shopping list
- 100g/4oz dried mango shopping list
- 100g/4oz dried pineapple shopping list
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4 and lightly grease a 23x13cm 9x5-inch loaf tin. shopping list
- 2. In a large bowl, mix together the flours, sugar, soda, baking powder and salt. shopping list
- 3. In a separate bowl, mix together yogurt, egg whites, oil, orange juices, vanilla and ginger. shopping list
- 4. Add the yogurt mixture to the flour mixture and stir just until combined. Do not over-mix or beat batter until smooth. shopping list
- 5. Stir in zest, mango and pineapple until just blended then pour into the prepared tin and level the surface. shopping list
- 6. Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before removing and cooling on a wire rack. shopping list
