How to make it

  • In a large pot over med heat add oil, butter, vegetables and bay leaf and cook for 5 minutes stiring frequently. Season mixture with salt, pepper & poultry seasoning. Add flour to the pot and cook for 2 min. Stir broth to the pot and bring to a boil. Add chicken & stir.
  • Place biscuit mix in a bowl. Combine with 1/2 cup warm water & parsley. Drop tablespoons of mix in pot, spacing dumplings evenly. Cover pot tightly & reduce heat to med low. Steam dumpling 8-10 minutes. Remove cover and stir chicken & dumplings to thicken sauce a bit. Stir in peas and remove from heat.
