How to make it
- Leaving root end attached slice onions in half lengthwise then peel papery skin off.
- In a rectangular baking pan mix garlic with 2 tablespoons vinegar, oil, salt and pepper.
- Add onions then toss marinade with onions and allow to sit for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 then bake onions in marinade for 1-1/4 hours.
- Remove from oven to a serving dish and sprinkle with remaining vinegar.
