How to make it

  • Leaving root end attached slice onions in half lengthwise then peel papery skin off.
  • In a rectangular baking pan mix garlic with 2 tablespoons vinegar, oil, salt and pepper.
  • Add onions then toss marinade with onions and allow to sit for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350 then bake onions in marinade for 1-1/4 hours.
  • Remove from oven to a serving dish and sprinkle with remaining vinegar.

    try using spring onions (large) or shallots, awesome,!! add a little parmesan -- yummy!!!
