Spicy Bean Salad

- 1 (16 ounce) bag frozen whole green beans shopping list
- 2 (16 ounce) cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed shopping list
- 2 (16 ounce) cans butter beans, drained and rinsed shopping list
- 1 cup red onion, cut into rings shopping list
- 1 cup white vinegar shopping list
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or more to taste) shopping list
How to make it
- Cook green beans in boiling salted water just until tender crisp. Drain and rinse in cold water to stop cooking process. Drain well.
- Combine green beans, pinto beans and butter beans with red onion rings.
- Whisk together remaining ingredients. Pour over salad.
- Cayenne pepper may be added for more "heat" if desired.
- Cover and chill overnight.
