This is written in the book Papaw's Rich Cream Pie.
Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. flour shopping list
- About 1/2 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
- 1 c. whipping cream (not whipped) shopping list
- 5 small or medium eggs shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter shopping list
- 1/4 c. milk shopping list
How to make it
- Mix sugar and flour and nutmeg together well.
- Add unwhipped cream, milk, melted butter and egg yolks.
- Stir until well blended.
- Put in unbaked pie shell and bake in 300 to 350 degree oven until filling is firm and brown.
- Beat the egg whites to make meringue for the pie.
- Put meringue on the pie.
- Put back in oven and let brown.
