Mamas Plum Torte-kuchen

- 15 small italian purple plums pitted or equivelent in larger plums shopping list
- sugar shopping list
- cinnamon shopping list
- vanilla shopping list
- 1 stick butter or margarine shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- more cinnamon and sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Wash plums, dry and pitt
- Place in a bowl and add small amt of sugar, cinnamon and vanilla and let sit about an hour.
- Cream butter and sugar and then add in eggs and blend well.
- Mix dry ingredients and blend into creamed mixture.
- Place batter in a buttered 8 or 9 inch square pan.
- Push in plums skin side down,partly into batter here and there.
- Drizzle with any plum liquid, sprinkle with some more sugar and cinnamon.
- Bake in a preheated 350 oven until golden and done, 45 to 1 hr
- Cool in pan.
- Cut from pan, serving with whipped cream, ice cream or sifted powdered sugar
