Angel Pie

- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar shopping list
- 1/2 c. sugar shopping list
- 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Beat egg whites and salt and cream of tartar until foamy.
- Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating well after each addition then continue beating until real stiff.
- Fold in vanilla and nuts and spoon into pie pan and shape as a pie shell and bake at 300 for 50-55 minutes and let cool.
- Take 1 bar Baker sweet German Chocolate and 3 tablespoons water and put over low heat until chocolate melts and let cool, then add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
- Whip one cup of whipping cream and pour into chocolate mixture.
- Pour this into meringue pie shell and chill for 2 hours before eating.
