Ground Beef And Potato Casserole Recipe
Great casserole and my hubby loves it. It is very tasty and filling. I serve this with homemade tea biscuits.

Ingredients
  • 1- 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 4-5 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1- 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 -28 oz. can of tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 1 can of mushrooms, pieces and stems
  • 1 stalk of celery thinly sliced
  • 1 lb. bag of Garden Style Veggies or veggie of your choice
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions
  1. In a large skillet cook ground beef with garlic powder, onion soup mix, green pepper, celery and mushrooms until meat is no longer pink and the veggies are tender.
  2. Put thinly sliced potatoes into a 5 quart casserole dish or dutch oven.
  3. Top with frozen veggies.
  4. Add the ground beef mixture over top of the veggies.
  5. Add the tomatoes and the tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce.
  6. Cook in a 350F oven for 1 1/2 hrs or until the potatoes are tender.

This recipe would be just as good without all the vegetables in it.I make similar but only use beef potatoes ,onion and tomatoes
