This applesauce cake is different than the others. Recipe does not give pan size or bake time.
Ingredients
- Bake in oven 350 degrees shopping list
- 4 whole eggs shopping list
- 4 c. cake flour shopping list
- 1 c. plus 1 Tbsp. shortening shopping list
- 1 tsp. soda shopping list
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. each of: cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg shopping list
- 1 box of raisins shopping list
- 1/2 c. nut meats shopping list
- 2 c. applesauce shopping list
How to make it
- Sift flour before measuring.
- Measure, place in sifter with soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves.
- Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
- Add dry ingredients alternating wit h applesauce.
