Kentucky Caramel Sauce

To serve warm or cold over ice cream or cake.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar (firmly packed) shopping list
- 1 c. cream shopping list
- 1/2 c. butter shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 c. candied fruit (optional) shopping list
- 1 c. pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Stir together the brown sugar, 1/2 cup of cream, butter, and salt.
- Cook stirring often until mixture forms soft ball.
- Cool for 5 minutes.
- Stir in rest of cream and the fruits and nuts.
- Serve warm or cold over ice cream or cake.
