How to make it

  • Cut steak into 2” squares then coat with seasoned flower and brown in butter in large skillet.
  • Transfer to casserole then cook onions, mushrooms and garlic in same skillet until browned.
  • Add to meat scraping skillet thoroughly.
  • Add parsley, chives, celery stalks, cloves, bay leaf, marjoram, pepper and salt.
  • Cover with wine the bake covered at 350 for 3 hours.
  • Remove celery stalks, cloves and bay leaf.
  • Add potatoes and carrots then cook at low temperature until vegetables are thoroughly heated.
