Have you ever tried making white sauce in the microwave? Very easy and less time stirring constantly. You melt the butter in microwave then add the flour and stir together and nuke for 1 minute then add the salt and milk and nuke for 30 sec, stir, nuke for another 30 sec stir again. Continue this for about 3 minutes till thickened and yummy and ready to add to whatever you are making. I have been doing it this way for years as I never have patience to stand and stir constantly LOL.
