Daffodil Cake

- Cook like custard until thick: shopping list
- 6 egg yolks shopping list
- 1/4 c. sugar shopping list
- 2/3 c. lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Cool.
- Dissolve 1 package Knox gelatin in 1/4 cup water.
- Add to above.
- Beat 6 egg whites until stiff.
- Add another 3/4 cup sugar.
- Fold in above mixture.
- Break up angel food cake into big chunks.
- Stir into custard.
- Put in large angel food cake pan and place in refrigerator.
- When stiff remove from pan and ice with sweetened whipped cream.
- Serves 14.
