Ingredients
  • Cook like custard until thick:
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. lemon juice

Directions
  1. Cool.
  2. Dissolve 1 package Knox gelatin in 1/4 cup water.
  3. Add to above.
  4. Beat 6 egg whites until stiff.
  5. Add another 3/4 cup sugar.
  6. Fold in above mixture.
  7. Break up angel food cake into big chunks.
  8. Stir into custard.
  9. Put in large angel food cake pan and place in refrigerator.
  10. When stiff remove from pan and ice with sweetened whipped cream.
  11. Serves 14.
