How to make it

  • Cool.
  • Dissolve 1 package Knox gelatin in 1/4 cup water.
  • Add to above.
  • Beat 6 egg whites until stiff.
  • Add another 3/4 cup sugar.
  • Fold in above mixture.
  • Break up angel food cake into big chunks.
  • Stir into custard.
  • Put in large angel food cake pan and place in refrigerator.
  • When stiff remove from pan and ice with sweetened whipped cream.
  • Serves 14.
