How to make it

  • Stir together melted butter and wafer crumbs
  • press into a 9 inch springform pan
  • Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 10 minutes
  • Cool slightly
  • Melt caramels in caramel topping in a saucepan
  • Stir often and stir in 1/4 cup cream
  • Remove from heat, stir in pecans
  • Spread over crust
  • Chill for one hour
  • For topping:
  • Melt chocolate over low heat.
  • Remove from heat
  • Stir in 1/4 cup cream.
  • Drizzle over the pecan mixture
  • Cover and chill 1 hour
  • Garnish with additional pecans halves if desired
