Gooey Chocolate caramel Fantasy

- 2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs ( about 38 wafers ) shopping list
- 1/3 cup butter melted shopping list
- 30 vanilla caramels shopping list
- 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping shopping list
- 1/2 cup whipping cream shopping list
- 2 cups chopped pecans, toasted shopping list
- 3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate pieces shopping list
- pecan halves shopping list
How to make it
- Stir together melted butter and wafer crumbs
- press into a 9 inch springform pan
- Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 10 minutes
- Cool slightly
- Melt caramels in caramel topping in a saucepan
- Stir often and stir in 1/4 cup cream
- Remove from heat, stir in pecans
- Spread over crust
- Chill for one hour
- For topping:
- Melt chocolate over low heat.
- Remove from heat
- Stir in 1/4 cup cream.
- Drizzle over the pecan mixture
- Cover and chill 1 hour
- Garnish with additional pecans halves if desired
