How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 450.
  • In mixing bowl beat eggs and nutmeg with a whisk.
  • Add flour in 3 additions and beat after each addition until mixture is smooth.
  • Add milk in 2 additions beating slightly after each then lightly beat in butter.
  • Pour mixture into a well buttered pie plate then sprinkle top with raisins and almonds.
  • Bake 8 minutes in hot oven then reduce heat to 350 baking 8 minutes more.
  • While baking peel core and thinly slice apples.
  • Melt 2 tablespoons butter in small skillet then add apples and sprinkle with sugar and spices.
  • Cook slowly over low heat turning occasionally until glazed and tender.
  • After pancake is cooked remove pie plate from oven and divide into halves.
  • Top with sliced apples and serve hot.
