Low Fat Yummy Wheat Germ Peanut Butter Cookies

- 1/2 cup ( 1 stick ) unsalted butter, room temperature shopping list
- 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter - YUM!! shopping list
- 1 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 cup wheat germ shopping list
- 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon - (my added ingredient) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- In mixing bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter and brown sugar until light & fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, wheat germ,oats, baking soda and salt.
- Stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheet.
- Use the bottom of a drinking glass in water to flatten the cookies.
- Bake 8 - 10 minutes until lightly browned
- Cool a few minutes on the sheet, then transfer with spatula to a wire rack and cool completely
