I found this recipe a few years back. It is not only easy but ohhhhh soooo good! I like spice. The thing wih this is you can make it as hot as you wish! I use more than it calls for. I just layer to how I like it.

Ingredients
  • Gallon jar of Dill Pickles. ( I have made little jars too)
  • Sugar
  • Tabasco sauce
  • Optional: I add some red pepper flakes

Directions
  1. Drain all juice off the gallon of dill pickles.
  2. Slice each pickle length wise and then cut into bite size pieces (about 1/2 inch thick). I have also chuncked them in bite size quaters.
  3. In the gallon jar layer 1/4 of the pickles pieces,
  4. 1/2 oz of the Tabasco Sauce and 1 cup of sugar.
  5. Repeat three more times using all ingredients.
  6. Let pickles set overnight.
  7. I Let stand for 10 days. Rotate jar every day upside down every other day. The flavor gets stronger. You can eat them the next day

I make these as well and they are dynamite. I add in sliced onion rings and eat those as well. Greatness. Thanks for bringing back a great memory. High 5.

I used dried garlic flakes in lieu of the red pepper flakes...gives them a little zing
