Halloween Carriage Cookies

- cookies shopping list
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups Land O Lakes butter, softened shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 tablespoon milk shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list

- 3 cups powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup Land O Lakes butter, softened shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 2 t.o 3 tablespoons whipping cream shopping list
How to make it
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt in medium bowl; set aside.
- Combine 1 1/4 cups butter and sugar in large bowl.
- Beat at medium seed until creamy.
- Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat until well mixed.
- Reduce speed to low; add flour mixture, a little at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Divide dough in half.
- Shape each half into ball; flatten slightly.
- Wrap each in plastic food wrap; chill at least 1 hour.

- Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface, one-half at a time (keeping remaining dough refrigerated), to 1/4-inch thickness.
- Cut out with 3-inch pumpkin cookie cutter.
- Place 1 inch apart onto large cookie sheets.
- Bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until edges are just beginning to brown and center is set.
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack.

- Combine powdered sugar, 1/3 cup butter and vanilla in medium bowl; beat at low speed adding enough whipping cream for desired frosting consistency.
- Frost and decorate as desired.

- Baking time: 5 minutes per pan
- Yield 42 (3-inch) cookies

You know my daughter is having a princess themed birthday party next month I am gonna make this recipe but instead of being a Halloween Carriage cookies it is going to be Cinderella's Carriage cookies. Great post. 5 forks!
