How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F
  • Melt the butter and add sugar, salt, flour and ginger + syrup together. Beat the egg and add almost all of it to the batter. Mix well.
  • Butter and flour an 8 in cake tart.
  • Press the dough into the tin with a fork. Brush with the egg wash.
  • Top with flaked almonds.
  • Put it in the oven. It will have to bake for about 30 minutes,
  • until firm and golden brown.
