How to make it

  • Start oven 325 degrees
  • Grease 9x5x2 loaf pan.
  • Sift flour and dry ingredients.
  • Then cream butter and stir in honey, unbeaten egg and grated orange rind.
  • Now add the flour and orange juice, alternately to the butter honey mixture.
  • Stirring well after each addition.
  • Stir in pecans.
  • Pour into prepared pan and bake about 35 minutes.
  • I have actually made this in two round cake tins and frosted it an icing made with a 2 lb. box of confectioners and a tbsp of orange juice and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

    This looks fantastic. The old recipes always seem to trump to new, lowfat, no taste ones. Can't wait to make it.
