How to make it

  • Do not preheat oven. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients; mix well.
  • Shape into 1 1/2" balls (to make 48 meatballs).
  • Place in 2 13x9" baking pans. Bake in a 375* oven for 25-30 minutes or until no pink shows when meatballs are cut in the center. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.
  • Use as needed for your recipe, or cool completely and place on a wax paper-lined baking sheet and cover. Place in the freezer for 1 hour. Then pack in freezer storage bags and put in the freezer for later use. Can be kept frozen up to 4 month.

    Wow, who would ever guess oats? I need to try these for sure when I get some cooking cash. I love recipes where it's hard to guess some secret ingredients :)

    Excellent idea for a busy day dinner! I always bake my meatballs but I have never frozen any of them before. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I will definetly be trying it very soon!
