Pumpkin Pie Cake

- 1 package yellow cake mix shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 8 tablespoons butter or margarine shopping list
- 8 ounces cream cheese shopping list
- 1 can pumpkin - 15 oz. shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 8 tablespoons butter or margarine shopping list
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- whipped topping - if desired shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl combine the cake mix, egg, and butter. Mix well with an electric mixer.
- Pat into a 9 x 13 pan that is lightly greased.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla, and butter. Beat together.
- Add powdered sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well.
- Spread pumpkin mixture over the cake batter. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Make sure you do not over bake. Center should be a little gooey.
- Serve with whipped topping if desired
