Cherry Cream Gelatin Squares Recipe

Ingredients
  • GELATIN:
  • 6 oz. pkg. cherry flavor gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 21 oz. can cherry pie filling
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

Directions
  1. In large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water,
  2. lemon juice, almond extract and pie filling. Pour into ungreased 13x9
  3. baking dish. Refrigerate until firm.
  4. In small bowl, combine topping ingredients, beat until smooth. Carefully spread over firm gelatin.
  5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
