How to make it

  • 4 cups flour in a large bowl
  • to 1 cup very warm water add yeast and sugar mix
  • blend with flour with fork
  • add addition 3/4 to 7/8 cup very warm water
  • pour on surface and knead for 5 minutes
  • score top and allow to rise for 40 minutes
  • divide into 4 and knead each quarter for 1 minute
  • let rise for 5 minutes
  • roll quarters out 1 by 1 into 12" circles
  • slide onto grate of preheated 425 degree over
  • bake each until slightly brown and stiff
  • remove let cool
  • spoon contents of tomatoes less liquid
  • drizzle with olive oil
  • salt, pepper, oregano, basil to taste
  • sprinke cheeses
  • cut and lay on salami in strips
  • bake for 15 minutes on directly on rack
