From shanya2 15 years agoIngredients
- 8 boneless pork chops shopping list
- 1 can of Hatch's whole green chiles shopping list
- 4 slices of havarti cheese cut in half shopping list
- garlic salt shopping list
- shake and bake or as a little something different, crumbled plain potato chips shopping list
- 16 toothpicks shopping list
- large zip top bag shopping list
How to make it
- Place each boneless pork chop between two pieces of saran wrap and pound out as flat as you can without making any holes in the meat
- sprinkle lightly with garlic salt
- place one half slice of havarti cheese on chop
- place one green chile on top of cheese and roll up the pork chop as you would a jelly roll
- secure each pork roll with two toothpicks
- pour some of the chile oil out of can over the top of pork roll
- pour either the shake and bake or the crumbled potato chips into a large zip top bag
- add one pork roll at a time and shake to coat
- place on a cookie sheet and bake at 425 degrees for 30-35 minutes
- remove toothpicks and serve
- if you wish you can make these the day before (all except breading them) and marinate them in the chile oil overnight. It will give them a more intense chile flavor. Then just before you are ready to bake, bread them and it's that simple
