I have not been brave enough to try this yet. I obtained it at an estate sale a few years back. I have it in my CURIOUS file....if anybody tries it please let me now how it come sout. I like everything in it, I'm just curious about how this would ... More

Ingredients
  • 1 small leek
  • 3-1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats

Directions
  1. Trim the leek then wash well and mince.
  2. In a saucepan bring leeks, milk, pepper and salt to a boil then simmer for 2 minutes then stir in oats.
  3. Cook 2 minutes then serve immediately.
