SLAVONIC STEAK This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Kennedy Estate in Kennedale, Texas in 1987.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 pound flank steak
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • Juice of 2 large limes
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 large cloves garlic chopped

Directions
  1. Rinse flank steak with water then dry and put in a large dish.
  2. In a bowl mix dry mustard with red wine vinegar and whisk well.
  3. Add other ingredients and mix well then pour marinade over meat.
  4. Cover and refrigerate basting and turning often.
  5. Marinate at least 4 hours or overnight then grill 8 minutes per side.
  6. Allow to rest 5 minutes before slicing then slice thin on the diagonal.
