How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 400° F (200° C).
  • Mix the corn meal, flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
  • Whisk milk, yogurt, sugar, egg and olive oil in another bowl.
  • Stir wet into dry ingredients and whisk.
  • Pour the batter into an oiled Loaf tin.
  • Place tin on the middle rack of oven
  • Bake for about 45 minutes.
  • turn the Cornbread out onto a wire rack to cool.
  • Then slice this delicious Turkish Cornbread and serve.

    Well...it does sound like it will be different and good, a bit of a departure from the norm. I do like Turkish food and will have to give this a try,
