- 1 cup yellow corn meal shopping list
- 1 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup yogurt, plain shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 1 tsp lemon zest shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 400° F (200° C).
- Mix the corn meal, flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
- Whisk milk, yogurt, sugar, egg and olive oil in another bowl.
- Stir wet into dry ingredients and whisk.
- Pour the batter into an oiled Loaf tin.
- Place tin on the middle rack of oven
- Bake for about 45 minutes.
- turn the Cornbread out onto a wire rack to cool.
- Then slice this delicious Turkish Cornbread and serve.
