old fashioned apple pie

- 6 cup peeled,cored,sliced, apples 1/4 inch thick shopping list
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/4 tea nutmeg shopping list
- 1/8 tea salt shopping list
- 1/2 tea cinnamon shopping list
- 1 tbl butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup raisins optional shopping list
How to make it
- roll out pastry on floured surface and line a 9" pie plate
- fill with sliced apples. mix sugar,salt,nutmeg,and cinnamon.
- sprinkle over apples, sprinkle with lemon juice.
- dot with butter, cover with top crust, seal and crimp
- flute edges. prick top crust with a fork.
- bake at 425 degrees for 40 minutes
