Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vineger
  • 1-tblspn cornstarch
  • 1-tblspn catsup
  • 1/4 tspn crushed red peppers

Directions
  1. In sauce pan add sugar,cornstarch and water,bring water to a boil.,add vineger,catsup,cornstarch and crushed red pepper
  2. let cool and serve

Tastes great!! But cornstarch did not dissolve. Maybe mixing it with something first before adding it to the boiling sugar/water mix would help. Excellent with coconut shrimp!


I havn't had that happen when i make it but try mixing it with the catsup next time, ive made it more then once never had it do that,hopefully that will help amber ty .


I would recommend holding back half of the water and mixing the cornstarch in the water (while cold) after everything is mixed in then add the water cornstarch mixture. I was also wondering if you've tried rice wine vinegar for the vinegar?
