CHERRY ALMOND COOKIES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Gee Estate in Quinlan, Texas in 1994.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 2-1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1-3/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • 1/2 cup dried coconut

Directions
  1. Cream butter then gradually add sugars until fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs, milk and extract then add flour, salt and baking soda.
  3. Stir in oats, cherries, almonds and coconut then bake at 350 for 12 minutes.
