Grasshopper Torte

- 2 pkgs Nabisco chocolate wafers shopping list
- 1-1/4 stick butter shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 60 marshmallows large shopping list
- 2 jiggers of Creme de cocoa shopping list
- 1 jigger of creme de menthe shopping list
- 1 pint whipping cream shopping list
How to make it
- For the crust
- Crush wafers into fine crumbs (use food processor is possible).
- Melt butter and add to crumbs.
- Pat crumbs firmly to bottom and sides of 9 x 13 baking dish.
- Hold back 1/2 cup of crumbs for later.
- Filling
- Bring milk almost to a boil.
- Add marshmallows, stirring over low heat until completely melted.
- Let mixture cool and then add Creme de Cocoa and Creme de Menthe
- Whip the whipping cream to firm peaks and then gently fold into marshmallow mixture.
- Pour over crust.
- Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
- Cover with plastic wrap or foil and put immediately into freezer.
- Freeze 24 hours before serving.
- When ready to serve thaw for about 30 to 60 minutes.
