peppers and tomatoes

- 4 large thick green peppers shopping list
- 8 large ripe tomatoes shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter shopping list
How to make it
- cut or break peppers in rather large pieces and saute in butter until slightly soft and they startto brown.
- use a large heavy skillet. peel tomatoes, cut in large peices and add to peppers. cook, uncovered, about 30 minutes or until the juices have thickened. add seasonings, i usesalt and pepper
- and creole, a sprinkling of crushed red peppers and a fourth of a teaspoon of sugar
- this is a wonderful side dish to use with most meat dishes, and is good the next day
