Chili Pasta Bake Recipe
When we ate this as kids my mother called it Chili-Mac. Now I've grown up and so has this dish. My mother used to serve it on spaghetti, but I've found a smaller thicker pasta works best.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. Pasta, cannelloni, penne, or ziti (I use cannelloni)
  • 2 14oz. Cans pre-made chili
  • 1 4oz. Can diced green chilies
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and diced (optional)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 14oz. can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 tsp. cumin, more or less to taste
  • 6 oz grated cheese

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Cook pasta according to package
  3. Mix together chili, diced green chilies, jalapeno, onion, tomatoes, and cumin
  4. Using a 8x 13 baking dish alternate layers of chili mix, cheese and pasta.
  5. Ending with a cheese layer on top.
  6. Bake together for 20 minutes to let the flavors blend
