Cranberry And Green Tea Facial
From annieamie 15 years agoIngredients
- 1 cup of fresh cranberries (you can use a whole 12 oz bag if you want to make a larger batch.) shopping list
- 2 green tea, teabags shopping list
- 2 cups of water shopping list
How to make it
- Add the cranberries to the water.
- Bring to a boil and then quickly reduce your heat to a simmer.
- Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Add the tea bags.
- When at room temperature or a bit warmer, remove the tea bags and discard.
- Using a regular fork or spoon, crush the berries against the side of the pot.
- You can take a soft paper towel or washcloth and dip it directly into the solution and then apply by dabbing it on to your "clean" skin. Let this dry on the skin and leave on for about 10 minutes or apply your moisturiser over it. You'll actually feel the skin tightening slightly with the solution on your skin. Try doing this after you wash your face in the morning or before going to bed. Your pores will be less noticible and your skin will feel great!
- You can strain out the berries from the solution and pour the liquid into a large glass jar. I keep mine in the refrigerator.
- On a warm day or when you want a refreshing treat for your skin, apply the liquid again, leave on and rinse off at your leisure.
- You can even use the strained berries as a facial. Just strain and apply the pulp ( as in the picture) to your skin. I warn you that most bathroom sinks will clog up when you rinse this off so wipe off the
- berry pulp with a damp paper towel or use your kitchen sink! You can leave the pulp on your skin for as long as you like or until you have to answer your front door. You might scare the Mailman! Have fun!
