Fried Deviled Eggs Recipe
FRIED DEVILED EGGS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Candela Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1997.

Ingredients
  • 6 hard cooked eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • Vegetable oil

Directions
  1. Peel eggs and cut in half then remove yolks and mash then season with salt, pepper and vinegar.
  2. Add enough mayonnaise to make thick paste then put filling into egg white halves and level off.
  3. Dip egg into bread crumbs then into beaten egg and again in crumbs.
  4. Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat then add eggs, yolk side down and fry until browned.
  5. Turn and fry other side then drain on paper towels and serve while hot.
